Who is responsible for your data

BeSoft.app is an independent project rather than a registered company. The data controller is:

What I collect

BeSoft.app is an informational website. There is no account to create, no payment to make, and no contact form — so I collect very little.

I do not use advertising cookies, I do not sell or share your data for marketing, and I do not build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and rejecting removes any that were already set. The full list, with names and retention, is in my Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner of any page.

Who else sees your data

I do not sell your data. Exactly one third party ever sees any of it:

This site runs on my own server in the United Kingdom rather than a third-party website host, so the server logs stay with me and are not passed to anyone else.

Transfers outside your country

If you accept analytics, Google may process your data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and its adequacy decision for the United States in order to do so. If you reject analytics, no such transfer takes place.

How long I keep it

  • Consent choice — in your browser until you clear its storage.
  • Analytics cookies — up to 2 years, or until you reject analytics, which deletes them immediately.
  • Email correspondence — kept for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it.
  • Server logs — kept only for as long as they are useful for running and securing the server, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, and the EU GDPR if you are in the EEA, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to how I use it;
  • receive data you gave me in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time — for analytics, via the cookie icon on any page.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while the consent was in place. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@besoft.app. I will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you think I have handled your data badly, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK data protection authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

If what I collect changes, I will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also reset the cookie banner so you can review your choice.
